Lucasfilm has officially announced “Star Wars: Starfighter”, a new chapter in the iconic franchise, with Ryan Gosling leading the cast and Shawn Levy directing. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 28, 2027, with production set to begin this Fall.

Lucasfilm confirms that "Star Wars Episode VIII" will begin filming sequences in Ireland later this month.
