The cricket fans of Khulna cannot remember the last time an international cricket match was held at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS) nor are they too optimistic about seeing one at the Rupsha-Bhairab shore any time soon.

Providing batting-friendly wickets during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) was on the agenda at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur yesterday as the tournament's technical committee met with the venue managers as well as curators to ensure runs being scored in order to elevate the entertainment value of the latest edition.
