SP Babul Akter has been freed hours after he was picked up by police for quizzing in connection with brutal murder of his wife in Chittagong on June 5.

Terming the murder of a police official's wife in Chittagong a cowardly act, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has vowed to bring the perpetrators of the killing to justice.
