Malaysian immigration department has detained 5,272 Bangladeshi workers among other nationals between January 1 to June 4 this year amid the country’s stringent actions against undocumented foreign workers.

The Immigration Department arrests 17 people, including a Bangladesh national, in a drive at a massage parlour on Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar in Malaysia.

Malaysian immigration department has detained more than 30,000 undocumented migrants, including an estimated 7,000 Bangladeshis, since January this year.
