A Narayanganj court yesterday acquitted Mamunul Haque, former joint secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam and secretary general of Khelafat Majlish, in a rape case filed with Sonargaon Police Station in 2021.

Two more cases were filed against Hefajat-e-Islam Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque today at the Paltan Police Station for vandalism, arson and sabotage at the Baitul Mukarram Mosque area on March 26.
