The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will resume selling edible oil at Tk 110 a litre to one crore TCB cardholder families in June, Senior Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh said today.

The government will strengthen market monitoring activities to keep prices of daily essentials stable during the month of Ramadan, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi says the parliament.

The prices of essentials at the capital's major markets were steady compared to the previous week, much to the relief of city dwellers gearing up for Eid.
