Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the mass media is currently working completely independently as there is no control exercised over the media.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Broadcast Ministry will sit with stakeholders before finalising the much debated “Mass Media Employees (Services Conditions) Bill 2022.”

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu says that The Daily Star Editor Mahfuz Anam’s recent comment reveals that the mass media was forced to publish lies, distorted and partial information during the 2007-2008 caretaker government regime.
