Work for the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project is yet to formally start but the deadline for the mega project is to expire in just over a month.

The government is going to take up a massive project to address the waterlogging in Chittagong city at a cost of Tk 5,616 crore.

The government has given top priority to eight fast-track mega projects in the upcoming budget, setting aside Tk 18,727 crore for them.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday in parliament placed her government's plan to implement seven mega projects, including 12-kilometer multi-purpose tunnel under the Jamuna river and 80-km elevated expressway from Hemayetput to Madanpur via Sirajdikhan.
