Shaon, who gained fame through her performances in acclaimed laureate and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed's dramas and films, stepped back from acting to focus on her family and children following her marriage to the legendary writer-director.

In a recent announcement, Nishad Humayun, son of the late literary maestro Humayun Ahmed and actress Meher Afroz Shaon, is gearing up to launch a podcast addressing Bangladesh's educational landscape. 

During her visit to Nuhash Polli on Wednesday morning, Shaon expressed her frustration over various dramas and movies of Humayun Ahmed being streamed on popular OTT platforms and YouTube channels without any proper permission or contract.
