Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu alleges that Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence are involved in terrorist activities in Bangladesh.

The machete link, which has been seen in the covert killings of secular activists, foreign nationals and members of religious minority, has been found again in the attack on Sholakia Eidgah where four people including two policemen have been killed during Eid.

A Hindu priest has been murdered in Jhenidah and a Buddhist man in a remote area of Bandarban - both attacks bearing the hallmark of previous suspected militant killings. So far, Islamic State has allegedly claimed responsibility of both the murders.

Terming the recent killings in Bangladesh as planned ones, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina says the perpetrators will surely be brought to justice.
