A policeman who was shot late last night after police cordoned off a house in Madhya Pirerbagh area of Mirpur during a raid, dies at Square Hospitals.

Habibullah Bahar Azad, owner of the house in Dhaka’s Darussalam area where seven persons including suspected militants died in a raid during the first week of September, placed on a three-day remand in an explosion case filed by Rapid Action Battalion.

Charred remains of seven bodies, believed to have been killed in an explosion at a suspected militant den in Mirpur on September 5, are buried by Anjuman Mofidul Islam, a charitable organisation.
