Bangladesh were in trouble losing three wickets for 35 runs in six overs in the third ODI against New Zealand on Tuesday.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Zakir Hasan came out to bat as play started 20 minutes later than schedule due to rain in the third match of the ODI series against New Zealand in Mirpur on Tuesday.

India at one point needed 10 runs off 19 deliveries with four wickets in hand but three wickets in the span of five balls turned the match on its head, in favour of the Tigresses.

Bangladesh Test side are undergoing their first practice session for the upcoming one-off Test against Ireland on April 4 but skipper Shakib Al Hasan was absent from the session.

The last time the current world champions suffered a series whitewash in this format were in 2014 when they lost 3-0 against Australia. Bangladesh, on the other hand, enjoyed a first three-match series sweep in this format for the first time since doing the same against Ireland in 2012. 

With the Sher-e-Bangla surface offering a lot of grip and turn for the slower bowlers, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, in for Shamim Patwary for this match, turned the screws on England with his best figures of four for 12. 

Phil Salt led a counter-attack from England after Taskin Ahmed struck an early blow, getting rid of Dawid Malan in his second over of the first spell.

The hosts made one change in their playing XI, with Mehedi Hasan Miraz replacing Shamim Patwary. 

The young pacer from Laxmipur said that he dreams of picking up 500 wickets for Bangladesh by the end of his international career. 

England will return to Bangladesh for the first time since 2016 for two white-ball series in March, both cricket boards said on Tuesday.
