The country’s three private mobile network operators are racing to grab a share of the rapidly expanding broadband market by offering fixed wireless access (FWA) services, which give users Wi-Fi connections without cables.

Mobile network operators -- Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink and Teletalk -- collectively added about 9.2 lakh customers during the month, taking the total mobile subscriber base to 191.3 crore.

The number of internet subscribers rose in March as mobile network operators and broadband service providers both bagged new customers due to increased usage of different digital services other than social media.
