Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir on Saturday announced his retirement from international cricket, ending a controversial career which saw him jailed on spot-fixing charges.

Four years out of the international game is a long time, but Amir says that the quality and environment around the Pakistan camp has made his reintegration pretty straightforward.

"I want to complete the unfinished work and, for me, the short-term goal is to win the World Cup."
