A Gaibandha court has sentenced seven people including Gaibandha’s former lawmaker Col (retd) Abdul Kader Khan to death in MP Manzurul Islam Liton murder case.

A Gaibandha court yesterday awarded Col (retd) Abdul Kader Khan, former lawmaker of Gaibandha-1 and the prime accused in Manzurul Islam Liton murder case, with life term imprisonment for possessing a firearm and an additional 15 years for possessing ammunitions.

The prime accused in the murder of lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton has been sentenced to life term imprisonment in a separate case filed under arms act.
