Prominent Indian director Srijit Mukherji has directed the biopic celebrating the centenary of the iconic filmmaker Mrinal Sen, featuring Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury in the lead role.

Celebrating Mrinal Sen's centenary birth anniversary, "Mrinal Sen Retrospective" kicked off yesterday, May 14, and will run till May 19. Each day, the celebration will remember the legendary director by screening some of his most noted films.
