Today marks the 125th birth anniversary of our national poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam. His stories and novels, which still inspire numerous films, have led to Bangladeshi productions being crafted around his ideas. Prominent Bangladeshi actresses, notably Rozina, Moushumi, and Purnima, have played significant roles in these adaptations. The occasion of the day thus calls for a recollection of their contributions to Nazrul-inspired cinema.

The film "Dusshahoshi Khoka" unravels the journey of a young Bangabandhu from childhood to adolescence, shedding light on how this spirited teenager evolved into a politically aware, socially conscious, and compassionate individual.

Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, the director of the film "Dushshahoshi Khoka", decided to postpone the release of his film on September 8 due to the potential release of Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" in Bangladeshi theatres on the same day. 

Currently, the budding actor is all geared up for the release of the government granted film "Dushshahoshi Khoka". Directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, Shommo will be seen essaying the early life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
