Awami League candidate Ekramul Haque Titu is set to be elected uncontested in the maiden Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) election as his only rival quit the race yesterday.

Bangladesh government today recognised Mymensingh as the country’s twelfth city corporation. Also, the government has changed the English spellings of five districts.
