Rock icon Mahfuz Anam James is set to electrify audiences in the United States as he gears up for a grand concert in Dallas. The event, titled “Chapter Two: James Live in Dallas”, will take place on June 14 at the Plano Event Centre.

This year's “Riyadh Season”, organised by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Media, features artistes from nine countries, including Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. The 45-day event, which began on October 12, will conclude on November 30.

On a show featuring a stellar lineup, which included the epitomes of '90s Bangla rock — Miles, Nagar Baul, Ark, and Dalchhut — alongside Drockstar Shuvo and the prodigious Oni Hasan, with Jon Kabir, Jamshed Chowdhury, and Kazi Zohad Yazdani, perhaps the most delightful scene was seeing a notable number of attendees who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s.

Tonight, Blue Brick Communications is hosting an event featuring four iconic bands from the '90s — Nagar Baul, Ark, Miles, and Dalchhut will take the stage, alongside performances by Jon Kabir, Oni Hasan, and Drockstar Shuvo.

After a long hiatus, four iconic bands from the 90s are set to share the stage once again. The much-anticipated concert, titled “Dhaka Retro,” will bring together Nagar Baul, Ark, Miles, and Dalchhut for a memorable night of melodies.

It was almost 11:30 pm on the clock but the crowd was still spellbound by the mesmerising performance of Nagar Baul’s James. That is the kind of expectation, one attends a concert with and it was the case yesterday too.

The concert was opened by Goriber Rockstars, who are a Texas based Bangladeshi rock band.

BRAC 'Hope Festival' has officially commenced today at the Bangladesh Army Stadium. The festival will continue till February 11. The three-day long festival is free for all and will emphasise the importance of culture, stories, crafts, music, and art.

Famous lyricist Bishu Sikdar, who penned many iconic songs by James including “Shelai Didimoni”, breathed his last on January 21. The lyricist made his mark in the music industry and earned much praise for writing wonderful songs for the band Nagar Baul.

Sixteen prominent bands of the country entertained the audience at the Army Stadium yesterday, with ecstatic performances taking them back to the nostalgic days of the nineties.

Rock icon James is all set to release his latest song “I Love You” on the night before Eid-Ul-Fitr. This is his first original release after a decade. The ‘Nagar Baul’ singer arranged a special conference at a reputed club in Gulshan, to talk about his upcoming track.
