“We are not thinking of those [incidents]. All we are thinking of is how to play good cricket and win,” Nahida said.

“Of course, we will work on our shortcomings and discuss them, in order to come back in the next match,” Nahida added.

Nahida Akter's haul of 2-27 against Australia in Mirpur on Thursday, which included the wickets of Tahlia McGrath and Ashleigh Gardner, rattled the Australia middle-order and also secured her place as the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in Women's ODIs.

Unaware of the news that she was named in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year for 2023, Bangladesh spinner Nahida Akter yesterday was mourning the demise of her grandmother who passed away just a day ago.
