“A semifinal is always a pressure game. If you lose this, you are out of the tournament… Of course, if we can beat a strong team like India right before a World Cup, it will give our team a lot of confidence,” said Nahida

The Sky Blues overtook Mohammedan’s 392-3 which was scaled earlier in the season.

“We are not thinking of those [incidents]. All we are thinking of is how to play good cricket and win,” Nahida said.

“Of course, we will work on our shortcomings and discuss them, in order to come back in the next match,” Nahida added.

Unaware of the news that she was named in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year for 2023, Bangladesh spinner Nahida Akter yesterday was mourning the demise of her grandmother who passed away just a day ago.
