An agreement was signed today (September 1, 2022) between the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) and Chinese firm U&D to develop the country’s second waste-based power plant.

Narayanganj has become the first city in Bangladesh to adopt a climate resilient development plan.

To upgrade the waste management system in the town, Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) has introduced two electric vehicles that can collect waste in an environmentally friendly way.
