Police yesterday recovered the pistol of Niazul Islam "which he lost" on January 16 during a fierce clash between supporters of Narayanganj Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy and local Awami League lawmaker Shamim Osman.

A case against 400 to 500 unknown people is filed by Narayanganj police eight days after a clash took place between supporters of local Awami League (AL) lawmaker Shamim Osman and followers of the city corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy over eviction of street hawkers.
