A Brahmanbaria court today sentenced 13 accused including Haripur Union Parishad Chairman Dewan Atiqur Rahman Ankhi to four years imprisonment in a case filed over vandalising temples and arson attacks in Brahmanbaria's Nasirnagar in 2016. 

It is so unfortunate that three years after the arson attacks and vandalism on the homes and temples of Hindus in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar upazila, the investigations have not been completed.

A Brahmanbaria court yesterday accepted the charge sheet against 228 accused, including several Awami League and BNP leaders, in a case filed in connection with attacking a Hindu temple in Nasirnagar over 13 months ago.
