Three persons turn up dead in the Padma river after going missing from Manikganj during trawler capsize in a nor’wester two days ago.

As the first of the season’s nor’wester lashes the country with gusty winds, rain and hailstorm, rains came down heavily in Dhaka this morning.

Like any regular day it was a bright sunshine morning. All of a sudden black cloud eclipsed the bright sky and the on came with it rain.

Eight people including two of a family are killed in tree collapses and lightning as a nor'wester lashed Kishoreganj and Mymensingh. Among the deceased, five were killed in Kishoreganj and three in Mymensingh.

At least 8 people are killed and many others injured in Rajshahi, Bogra, Natore and Naogaon as nor’wester sweeps north-western districts in the country.
