Police press charge-sheet against nine persons including Swarnalata Paribahan bus owner and driver in a case filed for killing nurse Shahinoor Akter Tania after rape in Kishoreganj in May this year.

Swarnalata Paribahan bus driver, who is an accused in nurse Shahinoor Akter Tania murder and rape case, has made a confessional statement before a court in Kishoreganj. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Al Mamun recorded the statement of driver Nuruzzaman.

Police seized the bus, whose driver and helper allegedly raped and killed nurse Shahinoor Akter Tania, from Gazipur’s Kapasia upazila on Thursday evening.

The autopsy, conducted on nurse Shahinoor Akter Tania’s body, has found evidence of gang-rape and murder. Tania, who worked at Ibne Sina Hospital’s Kalyanpur branch in Dhaka, died on her way home by a bus in Kishoreganj’s Katiadi upazila on Monday night.
