BTRC discusses ways to prevent online gambling

India's parliament has passed a sweeping bill banning online gambling, after government figures showed companies had stripped $2.3 billion annually from 450 million people.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police has launched a nationwide campaign targeting online gambling and betting, in what marks one of the first major enforcement efforts under the newly enacted Cyber Security Ordinance 2025.

Among the most critical concerns is the unabated growth of unregulated gambling sites on the internet.

The court ordered the government to submit the report in 30 days.
