Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today (June 12, 2022) said according to the law, the online version of newspapers and news portals cannot broadcast talk shows and news bulletins.

Newspaper owners demand that the online media is run under existing laws instead of a mandatory separate registration for such outlets.
