A traveling ticket examiner (TTE) of Bangladesh Railway's Pakshey Division was suspended after he fined three passengers who were traveling without tickets, introducing themselves as relatives of the railway minister. The suspension order was, however, withdrawn today.

Bangladesh Railway has directed not to provide any illegal benefits asked for on trains, mentioning names of railway high-ups, and to take action as per law against such persons.

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) today expressed deep concern and outrage over suspending of a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) of Pakshey Division of Bangladesh Railways after he fined three passengers who were travelling without tickets, introducing themselves as the relatives of the railway minister.
