Fifteen years have passed since the BDR mutiny that killed 74 people, including 57 army officials, but the victim families are yet to get final justice and the accused their due punishment, as both the cases filed over the incident have not yet been disposed of due to lengthy legal processes and courts being overburdened with cases.

With a heavy heart, the nation yesterday observed the 10th anniversary of the Pilkhana carnage that left 74 people, including 57 army officers, dead.

The defence and the prosecution are unable to move appeals before the Appellate Division in the sensational BDR carnage case, as the High Court is yet to release the full text of its verdict.

The families of the army officials killed in the 2009 Pilkhana carnage have demanded a judicial inquiry to bring to light the masterminds and the motive behind the massacre.
