Yesterday, many officials from PFL outfits gathered outside the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) headquarters. Some carried placards. Others brought children who should have been out on a field, not protesting on a pavement.

The BFF last held the Pioneer Football League in 2022. Despite collecting entry fees from participating clubs, the federation has yet to organise a new edition since then.

Barishal Football Academy clinched the trophy of the Bashundhara Group Pioneer (U-15) Football League 2021-2022 after edging past Zara Green Voice Kishor Bangla Club in the title decider at the Kings Arena in Dhaka on Friday.
