Such sinister and premeditated actions raise grave concerns about whether our law enforcers are scrupulous enough to serve citizens.

Some say that living in Dhaka is not easy and for those who have lived here for years, nothing is easy. This is not common in countries where the law enforcement machinery is handicapped by a serious gap in training and education in professionalism, human rights, and behaviour.

WE wonder when, if ever, the police would learn to treat a citizen with due respect and civility.
