Election watchdog Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (Shujan) yesterday alleged that the December 30 national polls, won by the ruling Awami League, was marred by massive irregularities.

Jatiya Oikyafront candidates in the national election will submit to the Election Commission a memorandum on “irregularities” in the polls.

It does not matter much to the Election Commission whether or not the polling is mired in widespread violence and irregularities. It has got some canned words for the nation at the end of polling. And it has kept defending the flawed elections in the same old way for the last two years.
