A fair election will require much more than token initiatives

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said an election-time government can be formed with the parties having representation in parliament, although the next general election will be held following the Westminster-style of democracy in Britain.

The BNP today said that it reached a consensus with Ganosanghati Andolan to wage a “simultaneous” movement to ensure the fall of the Awami League government and establish a polls-time neutral government.
