Authorities must take better care of rural students

The government yesterday published the list of scholarship recipients in Primary Terminal Examinations 2015, increasing the number by 27,500. It also raised the stipend amount for the students.

The guardians of students in different schools, at a human chain in the capital, have demanded that primary terminal examinations be abolished so that undue pressure on students is reduced.

A total of one crore and 30 lakh primary school students will get monthly stipend, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman says.
