Ignoring police warnings and ministers’ calls to step back, anti-quota protesters yesterday broke barricades on roads and went ahead with their “Bangla Blockade”, leading to a face-off with the law enforcers.

Many jobs remain inaccessible to many individuals because of the quota system.
