Out of 100, Dhaka scored 9.4 in the desirability factor – the lowest in the list – making it one of the least desirable student cities in the list.

Out of 1,800 universities from around the world, DU and DIU have been ranked 634th and 690th respectively.

A total of 29 universities from Bangladesh, including DU, NSU, and BUET, have made it to the 2025 QS Asia Rankings.

DU secured the 554th rank globally.

The Sustainability Rankings compiled the world’s universities that are leading the way in social and environmental sustainability.

The 2024 QS Asia University Rankings: Southern Asia includes 280 universities from the Southern Asia region. 

Buet ranked 335 in the world in the Engineering and Technology category.
