The government has appointed Muhammad Abdul Muhith as the next ambassador and permanent epresentative of Bangladesh to the United Nations (UN) in New York.

Ambassador Rabab Fatima, Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has been unanimously elected as the President of the UNICEF Executive Board at the elections of the Bureau held yesterday at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The government has decided to appoint Rabab Fatima, currently serving as director general (East Asia and Pacific) in the foreign ministry, as Bangladesh’s next ambassador to Japan.
