Whether for the song Boiam Pakhi or the unpredictable personality of Allen Swapan, everyone loved Chorki's original series, "Myself Allen Swapan". We asked director Shihab Shaheen, the mastermind behind the character, about why he felt the need for a separate series for Allen Swapan.

Rafiath Rashid Mithila is a celebrated actress in both sides of the border. She informs that she will be celebrating this Eid-ul-Fitr, in Dhaka. “Hopefully, I will get to spend the day with family and friends,” shares the singer turned actress.

The witty and funny Allen Swapan will be back with his smuggling business this upcoming Eid, as the new teaser revealed the release date of the spin-off series, "Myself Allen Swapan" directed by Shihab Shaheen. 

Yesterday, at a session in Dhaka Lit Fest, popular actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila talked about her experience of exploring Africa along with her daughter, Ayra. The session in question was a special children's session titled, "Adventures of Mom and Me". 

Mithila is having the time of her life as she recently received two major accolades at the Telangana Bengali Film Festival. One was for her contribution to Bangla cinema on both sides of the border, the Maitree award, and another for her supporting role in “Maya”. Today, the official poster for Rafiath Rashid Mithila starrer “Maya” was released. Director Raajhorshee De shared two poster—one features all of the actors while the other showcases the actresses.

The actress, who is now shooting in Chattogram, recently finished her work for Gias Uddin Selim’s “Kajol Rekha”. Her film, “Nitishastra”, is also awaiting release.
