Superstar Shakib Khan paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Harun Or Rashid, on Saturday.

To the disappointment of fans, the trailer was not unveiled as planned. Instead, the makers surprised audiences by releasing the movie's title track.

Through its riveting melody, we witness the Dhallywood superstar romancing the beautiful Courtney Coffey amidst the vibrant streets of New York.

To mark this joyous occasion, some of his ardent fans, who adoringly call themselves “Shakibians” in the USA, have gone as far as to rent a billboard at New York’s iconic Times Square adorned with Shakib Khan's portrait along with heartfelt birthday wishes.

“Rajkumar” will be released this Eid, and the filmmakers have plans to release it in the USA, the UK, Canada, and India amongst other countries later on.

Director Himel Ashraf's much-awaited film “Rajkumar” is set to hit the screens this Eid-ul-Fitr. The shooting for the film took place across various locations including Dhaka, Pabna, Sajek, India, and the United States.

Versatile Media, the production company behind the film, disclosed this information today (March 20) at a press conference for the film.

The Balam-Konal duo gained skyrocketing popularity for their vocals in the romantic title track “O Priyotoma” from superstar Shakib Khan's film “Priyotoma”. Now, they are back to deliver another possible hit as they lent their vocals to the title track for the highly anticipated film “Rajkumar”, also starring Shakib Khan.

Director Himel Ashraf commenced shooting for the Shakib Khan starrer “Rajkumar”, after the success of “Priyotoma” — the director’s first time working with the Dhallywood star. The filming of “Rajkumar”, produced by Arshad Adnan, concluded last month. This film, which marks the trio's second collaboration, is all set for release during the upcoming Eid.

As Eid approaches, Shakib is gearing up for the occasion with his upcoming film “Rajkumar”, directed by Himel Ashraf. Additionally, announcements for several other movies slated for Eid releases have been made. Amongst them are three films starring Sariful Razz– “Omar”, “Dewaler Desh”, and “Kajol Rekha”. Furthermore, there are other films such as Jaaz Multimedia's production “Potu” and another titled “Meghna Konya,” amongst a few others.

Dhallywood's Shakib Khan has dedicated 18 consecutive weeks to filming “Rajkumar” at different sites across the United States. Following the shoot, he arrived in Dhaka from New York via an Emirates airline flight on Wednesday morning. Upon his return, he swiftly headed back to Rangamati. Shakib Khan travelled there by helicopter at 4:00pm. According to the film's director, Himel Ashraf, the filming for “Rajkumar” will conclude there within the next two days.

As this year’s Eid approaches, Bangladeshi cinema enthusiasts can anticipate a face-off between popular actors Shakib Khan and Shobnom Bubly on the silver screen. Both stars are set to headline their respective films slated for release during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Recently, pictures surfaced on social media featuring Neha Kakkar alongside Shakib Khan in a single frame. Fans began speculating that the "Kala Chashma" singer might be lending her voice for Himself Ashraf's "Rajkumar."

In 2023, a significant portion of the big-budgeted films screened in Dhaka primarily comprised of those released during Eid. During that period, numerous individuals within the cinema industry remarked that movies in Dhaka were predominantly scheduled around Eid. Outside of these festive seasons, production houses seemed hesitant to release big-budget films.

Eid-ul-Fitr is just around the corner, with the month of Ramadan set to begin in a few days, leading up to the grand celebration of Eid—the biggest festival of the year. Numerous movies are slated for release during this festive season.

Shakib Khan has recently travelled to the United States for the shooting of his upcoming film, "Rajkumar". Expected to hit theatres during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the film has already generated considerable buzz. However, it has now come to light that a three-minute fight scene in the movie has incurred an expenditure of Tk 70 lakh.

Shakib Khan has once again flown off to the USA, and this time, but for the shooting of “Rajkumar.” The makers are planning on releasing the movie on Eid-ul-Fitr.

The filming of the title song for the Himel Ashraf directorial movie “Rajkumar”, featuring Shakib Khan, commenced at BFDC today morning. Approximately 300 dance artistes are actively participating in the shooting of the film's first song.

Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching in three months. While the anticipated date for Eid-ul-Fitr falls in the second week of April, there is currently significant discourse surrounding the movie releases during this period. Numerous production companies have already disclosed the potential titles of their films, with about half a dozen movies in consideration. Titles such as “Rajkumar”, “Omar”, “Esha Murder”, “Jamdani” and “Netri The Leader” are prominently featured in this lineup.

Film director Himel Ashraf has recently stated that the shooting of superstar Shakib Khan's movie “Rajkumar” involves the most skilled technicians in the country. He further mentioned that individuals with greater expertise than those who worked on the previous film “Priyotoma”, are now part of “Rajkumar”. Therefore, the new project is expected to surpass the outcomes of “Priyotoma”.
