A Dhaka court today dismissed a petition seeking travel ban against Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir in a case filed over the rape and murder of a college student.

The High Court has confirmed death penalties for eight robbers out of 10 robbers and commuted the death sentence of the two others to life imprisonment for the rape and murder of a schoolgirl in Laxmipur in 2012.
