A total of 45 Rohingya men, who fled refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar at different times, were detained by police at a house in Chattogram’s Sitakunda upazila early yesterday.

A technical team of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has started an inspection to see if the recent restriction on 3G and 4G mobile data services was working in the Rohingya camp areas in Cox’s Bazar.

At least 16 people, including two police men, were injured in a clash after locals blocked a road in Ukhia yesterday morning demanding quick repatriation of the Rohingyas and fences around the refugee camps.
