State minister for labour asks factory owners

The Bangladesh Bank today asked banks to keep their doors open and run operations on a limited scale on April 30, a public holiday, in order to settle the increased number of financial transactions ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

RMG workers yesterday formed a human chain demanding  this month’s full salary, Eid bonus  and arrears   within the 20th of Ramadan.

President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Rubana Huq says the wage payment system of RMG workers is going to be digitised soon.
