US President Donald Trump has lauded the “personal leadership” of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in addressing the plight of the Rohingyas who fled to Bangladesh from Rakhine State in Myanmar.

Myanmar is only able to verify 374 Rohingya Muslim refugees for possible repatriation from Bangladesh, officials say, blaming their neighbour for not providing the correct information about the refugees.

The United Nations and the Bangladesh government have prepared a plan to provide an assistance of $950 million to the Rohingya refugees and the vulnerable locals in Cox's Bazar for 10 months until December. The move comes amid concerns that the repatriation of the refugees would take time.

The visiting Nobel Peace laureates have promised Rohingya women to be their voice and pursue justice on their behalf.
