Twenty five human rights activists, researchers and development professionals call for the government to restore 4G mobile internet services in the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar to ensure free flow of information that can help prevent coronavirus transmission.

Visiting a 19-member government delegation of Myanmar led by Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Myint Thu visits Rohingya camps at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar.

As a responsible and responsive nation, Bangladesh remains engaged with Myanmar in good faith to ensure the safe and sustainable return of Rohingyas, in addition to providing humanitarian assistance to them, said State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam.

The European Union is likely to come up with a more genuine pressure on Myanmar in February so that it acts promptly and creates an environment for the sustainable return of Rohingyas to their homeland from Bangladesh.
