Pori Moni’s portrayal of the resilient Supti, navigating life’s harsh realities while enduring pregnancy in Anam Biswas’ “Rongila Kitab”, has earned her widespread acclaim. The performance secured her the Best Actress award at the fourth edition of Blender's Choice–The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2024.

Pori Moni went on to add, “This is not just an award to me; it is much more. It is a recognition that a mother can do anything and achieve anything she sets her mind to. After giving birth, I was body-shamed for gaining weight. Many people commented on how ‘fat’ I had become. But only a few truly understand what a mother goes through—unless they are mothers themselves.”

The web-series “Rongila Kitab” won the Best Web Series award at the 26th edition of the ongoing Meril-Prothom Alo Awards 2024. This Hoichoi original series has been created by Anam Biswas.

The web-series “Rongila Kitab”, directed by Anam Biswas, premiered on the OTT platform Hoichoi on November 8. Adapted from Kinkar Ahsan’s novel of the same name, this series unfolds across eight episodes. 

This actor has consistently showcased his remarkable talent on OTT platforms, with standout performances in roles such as Moloy in ‘Mohanagar’ and Amlan in ‘Kaiser’. Through these and other memorable characters, Mostafizur Noor Imran has proven his versatility and skill, solidifying his reputation as a standout actor in the industry.

The event was organised on Tuesday by Hoichoi to celebrate the trailer launch of her first-ever web series, "Rongila Kitab", where she stars alongside Mostafizur Noor Imran. The series is directed by Anam Biswas and the press conference saw the presence of Pori Moni, the director, and other key members of the cast and crew.

However, due to the country dealing with chaos after the fall of the previous government, its premiere has been postponed, with a new release date expected by the end of this month.

In the wake of the previous government's fall and subsequent political uncertainties, the release of the web-series "Rongila Kitab," starring actress Pori Moni, has been delayed. The show, originally scheduled for an early August release, will now be launched once the country returns to a state of normalcy.

Recently, Pori Moni adopted a daughter, for which she was praised on social media. “The feeling of becoming a mother can only be understood by a mother. The moment I took Priyom on my lap, I felt the same happiness I felt when Punnyo was born!”

The actress will take on the role of the lead female character in this eagerly anticipated project, based on Kingkar Ahsan's novel "Rongila Kitab".
