Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission yesterday formally received the design and construction license of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Unit-1, paving the way for the main construction work

The Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (Baera) is set to issue a site licence today to the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (Baec) to run the Rooppur nuclear power plant.

In the opening, the book printed by Madhyama Media and Publications points to the fact that publishers in this country – though slowly but are finally becoming skilled. Hat’s off to the publisher.

The 2400-megawatt Rooppur nuclear power project is likely to cost around $10 billion, more than three times the initial estimate of the government.
