Why are we relying so much on foreign entities and resources to meet our energy needs?

Bangladesh, India and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on implementing the Rooppur nuclear power plant.

The legal position of the contract is that Bangladesh will be solely responsible for the repayment of the loan with interests (whatever the amount), even if the plant is mothballed, cancelled or accidentally damaged.
