Bangladesh striker Mosammat Sagorika expressed her delight at receiving trophies for the best player and the top scorer in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship, seven days after the final had taken place in Dhaka.

Bangladesh striker Mosammat Sagorika has been adjudged as the best player of the SAFF Women's Under-19 Championship, which concluded in Dhaka recently.

The final of the SAFF Under-19 Women's Championship Coin-toss chaos ended in a chaotic manner owing to a controversial decision by Sri Lankan match commissioner Silva Jayasooriya Dilan, which culminated in Bangladesh and India sharing the glory. 

Bangladesh forward Mosammat Sagorika said she drew inspiration from the presence of her parents at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka to go that extra mile in rescuing a draw for her side against India in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship final on Thursday.

Bangladesh and India were declared joint champions of the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship after a coin toss controversy that initially saw the game being decided in favour of India by virtue of a flip of the coin at the at the Birshrestha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Thursday.
