The critically acclaimed Nepali film “Missing: Keti Harayeko Suchana” is set for a nationwide release across Bangladesh from July 18, 2025. The film will be screened at all Star Cineplex branches under the SAFTA agreement, with Show Motion Limited importing the film in exchange for the Bangladeshi film “No Dorai”. 

If Bangladesh exports fabric to a country assembling garments for the US, American tariffs on those final products can sharply reduce demand for Bangladeshi inputs.

The Star Cineplex authorities had ambitious plans for the film, which marked their first import under the Safta agreement. Despite preparations for a grand premiere, the screening couldn't proceed as scheduled on Friday (March 29), as the film couldn’t get censor clearance.

The film, a heist comedy thriller set in the realm of commercial aviation, showcases the first-ever collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday three films were released in Bangladesh. Two of the films are local productions, “Kagojer Bou” and “Shesh Bazi”. In addition, the film “Hubba” from the neighbouring country, India, starring actor Mosharraf Karim has also been released in Bangladesh.

The year 2023 marked a remarkable feat for two renowned Bangladeshi actresses, Jaya Ahsan and Azmeri Haque Badhan, as they embarked on their respective Bollywood ventures.
