Bangabandhu-1, the country’s first ever communications satellite, makes its debut with the live coverage of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship 2018 on test basis.

We hope that with the launch of this satellite, we can inspire our next generation to become the celebrated astronauts and ground-breaking rocket scientists of the future. Bangabandhu-1 is an ambitious yet timely initiative of our visionary leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has envisioned building Digital Bangladesh by 2021.
